I haven’t seen the photo yet. I send out literally hundreds of photos to various magazines and should, but don't keep track of who has what.

They often hold the pix for months and sometimes even years. I do remember getting check from them recently. Once I see which photo they used, I will tell you the story. Even if I have to make one up.

If it is me on the cover, I’m pumped! All the years I have been in this business I have sold more than 50 cover photos, but have only been on one cover. Back in 1984 I was on a cover of Fishing Holes magazine. I had a seven-pound fish in one hand and a 15-inch jack in the other. The editor ran it because he said he didn’t know anyone who ever caught such a small steelhead.
:p

Well Dave, you are wearing a blue 'magna thin' hat and holding a 20# bright nate, and your beard is not as silvery as the fish........quite frankly, I'd rather see one of your calendar 'hotties' holding that fish,,,,,slightly bent forward to show cleavage.. laugh :p

Peri:

Now I remember. That was a Thompson River fish. Caught in October of 1997. I do not think it was 20, but hey, it was a fine bright native fish.

Like you , I would rather see a pretty girl holding it. Try to just look at the fish. eek
